PHASTAR  was born in 2010 out of a vision to improve the quality of public health, education and safety services in Northeast Ohio. Through a combined business/education model, PHASTAR is able to offer unique life experiences and learning and training opportunities for high school and technical education students, adults seeking learn new skills, seniors and those with special needs. This model affords the chance to not only improve the efficiency and scope of local industry, public health, and public safety, but also helps arm local students and adults with the tools to break the cycle of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency.

PHASTAR partners with government, higher education, and industry to develop technical training and education initiative that deliver 21st century job skills and services that support the needs of the Northeast Ohio community. PHASTAR also partners with many local organizations including the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Cleveland Foundation, AFL-CIO, Office of Naval Research, Kent State University Aerospace, Cleveland State University Viking Corps Program, and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Today,  PHASTAR is comprised of six initiatives: Education, Aviation, Maritime, Public Health, Public Safety, and Drone Racing.  Each initiative includes a number of different programs, and each one shares the PHASTAR vision to improve the quality of public health, education, and safety services in Northeast Ohio.

Our 150+ member volunteer Taskforce meets on the 2nd Friday of every other month.  We invite you to drop-in and join us to learn more about how PHASTAR is improving the quality of life of many area residents.
